Wedding list evils visit!?
Can anyone offer some advice. We got married in August and like many people are trying to keep our guest list to around 100 (which just recently moved into a new home and have two children.) My parents insist that the partners invite six of his friends to travel with them to the wedding in Ireland (I have never with these people!). I come from a fairly large family in Ireland and my partner comes from a very small family in Sussex, and I feel like I'm been penalized for having a large family, half of which I can not invite due to budget constraints. How will my lovely in-laws have invited these people verbally although not yet completed our list of wedding guests. I am very angry with this and feel that I rail roader what they want. Being the bride thought that belongs to me me to attend … Can anyone offer any solution as to how to handle this? My lovely wife is standing well back into it …….. D
Dear parents of my husband to be, I was thrilled to hear that he had invited six of his friends to come to our wedding in Ireland. Unfortunately, because we a very limited budget, we have to keep our guest list to a minimum, and those of his friends were not originally on the list. Attached is a list of family members on his side of the family who were planning to invite. Could you please indicate which six must be removed to make room for your friends? And please let us know by (insert date) so we can get our guest list ended and our invitations. Please tell your friends who are registered at (name stores) and I'm sure you want to send appropriate gifts. Hoping to see you all in Ireland ….
